Health Technology Wales join Accelerate multi-disciplinary team

We’ve joined the multi-disciplinary team meetings of Accelerate, the pioneering collaboration to help translate innovative ideas into new technologies, products and services for the health and care sector, quickly.

The monthly multi-disciplinary team meetings oversee Accelerate’s activities and look to improve their interventions where possible. It has representation from External stakeholders such as the NHS and Industry.

Our involvement will include reviewing project proposals coming into the Accelerate programme, providing information on health services and health economics evaluation from an early stage. This support is enabled by our remit to support a national approach to the identification, appraisal and adoption of non-medicine health technologies in Wales.

The Accelerate programme offers access to academic expertise, in-depth understanding of the life sciences eco-system and cutting-edge facilities for innovators to get their ideas off the ground.

Life Sciences Hub Wales lead Accelerate, a pioneering collaboration with Cardiff University, Swansea University and the University of Wales Trinity St David. Accelerate is part funded and supported by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government.
