We’re happy to announce the publication of our Annual Report 2018-2019. It’s our first annual report and highlights what Health Technology Wales has achieved since we were launched in November 2017.
We applied health technology assessment methods to the Bevan Health Technology Exemplars (HTE) programme, producing brief technology exploration reports to assess the evidence underpinning the 2018 and 2019 applications.
It’s important that patients, carers and members of the public can have their say with Health Technology Wales, the national body working to improve the quality of care in Wales.

We appraise technologies throughout their whole lifecycle, from innovation to obsolescence. This enables key people, like care commissioners, to make evidence-informed decisions based on the clinical and cost effectiveness of a technology.

The Health Technology Wales team recently attended the Health Technology Assessment international (HTAi) 2019 Annual Meeting in Cologne and were joined by Dr Sally Lewis, a General Practitioner and member of our Appraisal Panel.
