Vacancy: Communications Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Communications Officer to join our growing team at Health Technology Wales (HTW) while we roll out our next exciting phase.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Communications Officer to manage how HTW guidance and information is shared across NHS Wales and wider groups of stakeholders. The post holder will use press, broadcast, social and digital media to protect HTW’s reputation. Strong writing skills and the ability to transform a snippet of information into a press release or engaging content is essential to drive forward the Communication function within the organisation. The role will also involve collaboration with a range of external partners and stakeholders within and outside Wales.

The post holder will support the Programme Office Lead to provide leadership and expertise in managing HTW’s communications requirements. They will be instrumental in the planning and delivery of the HTW Communications Strategy and will have responsibility for all media relations (reactive and proactive, across traditional, digital and social media), reputation management and delivery of targeted communications with the organisation’s internal and external audiences.

This is a permanent post but secondments and organisational job shares may be considered.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
